Great satisfaction comes from visiting a site, well
planned and run, with buildings rising in front of your eyes, knowing that it
is HYT trained Ugandans who are at the heart of the work. As a partner for the
Bujagali Trust, a UK based educational NGO, HYT is currently constructing a
science laboratory and two classroom block at Mutai Secondary School in Jinja
District.

Using masons and artisans from HYT training projects, HYT is
delivering high quality buildings using its innovative Interlocking Stabilised
Soil Block (ISSB). John, the site foreman and his entire team were all once

The Team break for a well deserved lunch.

they are skilled professional builders, taking pride in their work and taking
home to their families a steady income. We hope this is a good example of HYT
making a sustainable, practical impact in the developing world.
