Marcus Farnfield, a supporter of HYT and former Head of
School at Haileybury, is currently cycling across the entire north American
continent, raising funds for HYT. Marcus and his cycling partner, Nick, are
cycling from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada to Washington in the
District of Columbia, USA. The 5200 kilometres, 50 day epic from BC to DC, sees
them cycling sometimes more than 150 kilometres a day in a journey that will
take them from the Pacific coast to the Atlantic. Marcus and Nick hope to raise
£5200 for HYT, that’s one pound for every kilometre covered. Having seen HYT’s
work in Uganda, Marcus knows better than most the sustainable impact HYT is
having among poor Ugandan communities.
