Update on Kamuli projects

We are pleased to update you on the progress of our projects on behalf the Rotary Club in the Kamuli district, which are progressing incredibly efficiently. Work has now begun at all 5 sites; Kinawempere Primary School, St Kaloli primary school, Bulogo Cope Centre, Namaganda Primary School and Makoka Primary School. All of these sites are receiving new Latrines and various sized water tanks depending on the number of pupils. Bulogo Cope, Kinawempere and St Kaloli are also receiving new washing units. Most of the planned constructions are now at slab level; to increase efficiency our workers have been moving from site to site to complete each stage of building so as to allow each site time to dry and prepare for the next stage of construction.

HYT constructions at Makoka Primary School

Our 1V4 project at Makoka Primary School is almost complete, with the second and final teachers dorm block fully plastered and ready to paint. Once this dorm block is complete we will be finishing off this project  by renovating some of the existing classrooms at Makoka.
We are also in the process of deciding upon a school for our 1V5 project which we are hoping to begin in July. We are looking to find a suitable secondary school near our 1V3 and 1V4 projects; Makoka and Namaganda Primary schools, in the hope of supporting the children at these schools all the way through their education and not just at primary level. This task is not proving easy, however.
We look forward to keeping you updated on our search for 1V5 and all our current projects in the near future.
