Graduation and Opening Ceremony at Namaganda Primary School

Last Friday saw the Opening Ceremony of our latest "One Village at a Time" project; Namaganda Primary School. It was a eventful day involving the opening of the new Matt Ellis Kitchen; the Lower School Classroom Block; and the Graduation of the Trainee ISSB Masons who were working on the site throughout the project.

The day commenced with various speeches from important members of the community rounded off by a speech from the Chief Inspector of Education for the Kamuli District which complimented the impact HYT has brought about in the last six months. After music and dancing from the students everyone was invited to take a tour around the new school buildings. Following on from this various members of the HYT team were presented generous gifts from the community for the work they had done. We finished off the morning with the presentation of certificates to the ISSB graduates before heading to a traditional lunch prepared in the new kitchen.
